Takato is the main character of Tamers. Like Tai and Davis, he wears goggles. Unlike Tai and Davis... well, he doesn't have much in common with them! He's quite an interesting main character and not a stereotypical one.

Takato is a nice guy, and he's not gung-ho or aggressive. He's pretty mild-mannered and a little quiet, I guess. He seems shy and like a bit of a worrier - and being a Tamer gives him lots of cause for anxiety - although he does have a stubborn streak. I guess he can be kind of immature in his attitudes and he gets upset easily, but he's not the type to fuss about his problems without trying to find solutions to them. At least he smiles more than the other Tamers do. ^_^;;

His parents own a bakery, and so Takato often takes bread rolls to feed Guilmon who he keeps in a small building in the park. He has to hide Guilmon from his parents. He does show him to his friends though - Hirokazu and Kenta who become afraid of Takato after that, and Juri who thinks Guilmon is extremely cute. ^_^.

Takato's best friends are Guilmon, Lee and Juri. Juri is a nice girl in his class, and I think Takato might have a bit of a crush on her. ^_^. He also plays the Digimon card game with Hirokazu and Kenta in the playground, but I don't think he's a very good player. ^^;

Takato has a tendency to cry easily, especially when something happens to Guilmon. He's a sensitive person, but he's strong inside, and I guess he must have a lot of dreams. He cares very much about his friends and is very kind-hearted.
