Sora is the "nice one" of the group. Practical, sensible and cautious, she likes to make decisions carefully and as such sometimes gets annoyed with her best (human) friend, Tai. She is much more of a tomboy than Mimi, wearing less girly clothes and loving to play soccer, which she is very good at. She is also quite tough.

As befits one with the crest of love, Sora is also extremely caring and kind-hearted. She hates to see anyone get hurt, and she's good at playing peacemaker or dealing with people who are upset. She hates people to endanger themselves for her sake, but is willing to do the same for them in an instant. Firm but sweet-natured, she sometimes serves as a "big sister" figure to the younger kids, or even a mother figure.

Sora's bond with her Digimon is one of the strongest. Biyomon and Sora really are best friends and express it often. The two are inseperable and get along magnificently, being quite similar in personality.

The adventures in the digital world help Sora to repair her relationship with her mother. Her father isn't around... Sora's mother is a detached lady who spends most of her time compulsively arranging flowers (that's her job), ignoring everything else around her. She even wanted Sora to give up soccer - the thing Sora most loves doing - to help her arrange flowers.

Sora was remembering all this after she first acquired her crest. She feels she does not deserve the crest of love because she is not loving enough herself (although Tai, rightly, says it's perfect for her), and even her own mother doesn't love her. Demidevimon tells her she will never be able to get her crest to react.

However, once Sora realises that her mother wanted her to give up soccer to protect her (who had gotten soccer injuries before), and was doing it with Sora's best interests in mind. Her mother did love her after all... Sora's crest reacted and Birdramon digivolved!

Later, back in their own world, Sora's mother shows that she really cares about her daughter and goes to try and rescue her. She holds off some Bakemon so that Sora can escape. The two are both very sad when Sora has to go back to the digital world.

Although Sora is rarely in the limelight, and is not an attention-seeker, she is still a quiet support in the background, and not afraid to speak up if she has something to say.
